Watch Those E-mails!

Ever been tempted to give someone a piece of your mind via e-mail or replied to a message from someone in your building only to discover that you had sent your reply to everyone on your staff? Or have you intended to send an e-mail to one person, only to discover that you sent it to someone else on your list with a similar name?

Never assume that e-mail communication is private or confidential. It is possible that your message could be read by someone other than the person you intended. Or it could be forwarded without your knowledge.

As a rule of thumb, don’t send an e-mail that you wouldn’t want displayed in public!

In addition, e-mails to other district employees to promote your business, services, or to sell something are never appropriate.
